An explosive device was hurled at the U.S. embassy building in Montenegro’s capital on Thursday by an unknown attacker who subsequently blew himself up with a grenade. U.S. citizens were warned to stay away from the building in Podgorica until further notice as authorities investigate the “active security situation.” No details were immediately available on whether the embassy was damaged in the attack, which is thought to have involved a hand grenade. Authorities are still working to identify the deceased assailant.
