Summer school students in Boston are being encouraged to create art with their darkest secrets—and mail away their anxieties.
The students, who spend afternoons at Boston Arts Academy, make postcards with all available creative materials, and their instructors help send them off to PostSecret.com, the website of furtive postal confessions. Most of them are from inner-city schools and lead difficult lives, so the activity, teachers hope, will allow them an outlet without any pressure.
