Facebook rolled out a new suicide-prevention tool Tuesday. The new feature allows friends to report suicidal behavior under the report option on any piece of content on the social network. Such an action will prompt Facebook to email the suicidal person with a link to a private chat with a crisis representative from the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. The person who reports the behavior will also receive an email saying Facebook has acted; his or her identity will be kept anonymous, however, from the person reported.
