Tell all of your Facebook friends! Early reviews of The Social Network, the upcoming film based on the founding of the ubiquitous social networking website by Mark Zuckerberg, are sensational, according to FilmSchoolRejects.com. Collider’s Steve Weintraub calls Aaron Sorkin’s script “some of the best work” he’s ever done, and says David Fincher’s directing is: “Brilliant. Amazing. Perfect.” He also adds that Jessie Eisenberg’s performance as Zuckerberg is “on another level.” Should the initial reviews hold up, the movie looks to be a solid bet for a big box office take—not to mention its prospects in the rapidly approaching awards season. The Social Network hits theaters on October 1.
