According to rumors from Facebook’s F8 conference, the company plans to launch a socially enabled music service on Thursday. The new service will allow users to share what they are listening to and watching with a new ticker tool, which will be separate from the main newsfeed. Eventually, Facebook will also launch a “listen with your friends” streaming service. This would pit Mark Zuckerberg’s social-media titan in direct competition with Apple, which plans to launch its own streaming service, iTunes Match.
