“Have you ever wondered what it feels like to win an Oscar?” our daring host, Mark, asks to begin this clip. Mark certainly has, and he has made it his mission to get a taste of the treatment that the winners of Hollywood’s most prized hunk of gold receive after Academies are thanked and the after-parties commence.

Mark gets himself a tux and a fake statue and proceeds to troll around Hollywood on Oscar night, bathing in adulation and free stuff in equal measure.

Is it surprising that people instantly believe he’s a winner and has already shown up in a random bar, even though the show is still going on judging by the TV behind him? Did they think he won for animation or sound? Is this an incisive indictment of American celebrity culture? Did he really need to lie to the bodega guy to get a free Gatorade?

All or none of these questions may be answered by the video below, but you will see a woman ask if she can take a picture with his Grammy, so it’s all worth it.
