Family of Black Teen Killed by Cop Gets $3.35M Settlement
The family of an unarmed black teen who was killed two years ago by police in Madison, Wisc., will get a $3.35 million settlement in a federal civil rights lawsuit they filed over the death. Nineteen-year-old Tony Robinson was killed on March 6, 2015 in an apartment after police responded to calls about him behaving erratically. The officer who fatally shot him, Matt Kenny, was cleared of any criminal wrongdoing. A separate internal investigation found that Kenny did not violate any police policies during the shooting.
