The family of Gregory L. Towns Jr., who died after police used Tasers on him up to 13 times, has filed a wrongful-death suit against the city of East Point and two former police officers. Towns was arrested on April 11 after fleeing on foot from police who were trying to question him about a domestic dispute. The lawsuit, filed in the name of Town’s estate and his infant son, claims officers in the Atlanta suburb “acted with malice and a deliberate intent to cause grievous bodily injury, pain and death.”
