On Friday a state appeals court judge allowed the popular fantasy sport sites FanDuel and DraftKings to keep their operations in New York running, blocking a lower court ruling that declared the sites illegal earlier that day. The decision to rule in favor of sites' emergency motion will allow FanDuel and DraftKings to continue their business in New York until next month when a panel of judges decides upon whether the companies can keep operations running during the appeals process. New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has said that the sites enable illegal gambling, while the companies say that they offer a game of skill, not chance.
