Vogue Nippon editor (and the “editor in chief” of Macy’s INC brand) Anna Dello Russo designed fascinator hats for fans at Macy’s in Herald Square, where she posed with supermodel Karolina Kurkova. But the fashionable crowd was lost on one shopper, who pointed toward the huddle of Vogue editors and asked “who are they?”

Call it Carrie fever: Sarah Jessica Parker, whose character on Sex and the City spawned a cult around pricey designer heels, signed pairs of Manolo Blahniks at the designer’s Manhattan store. Outside, Laura Tretter, an eighteen-year-old Fordham student, waited to catch a glimpse Parker.  Although Tretter wasn’t planning on purchasing Manolos during this year’s FNO, she wasn’t ruling it out in the future. “Maybe when I graduate,” she mused. “It’s definitely great that the designers are reaching out to prospective customers.”
