Vogue transformed New York City's Lincoln Center into a fashion mecca on Tuesday night as the biggest names in all things chic gathered to both witness and partake in the largest public fashion show in the city's history. Dressed in designers from A to Z—from Anne Taylor to Zac Posen—150 models walked through the cultural epicenter to Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' "Empire State of Mind" and Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York," unofficially kicking off New York Fashion Week. And thanks to this ring-shaped runway setup, nearly everyone in attendance had a front or second row seat.

At the helm of the biggest fashion show New York has ever seen was, of course, Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour. The style icon made sure everything was in order for the evening's event with an early pit stop at Lincoln Center on Tuesday. But when it came time for the big show, the notoriously reserved editor was wearing a smile instead of her signature sunglasses.

Diane von Furstenberg helped Anna Wintour conceive the Fashion's Night Out celebration as president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, and the designer was eager to see her hard work pay off. According to ABC News, she "had to stand from her front-row seat to get a close-up" of all of the models as they made their way around the runway.

The Israeli model and on-again-off-again arm candy of Leonardo DiCaprio did not walk in the runway show for Fashion's Night Out, but she was on the list of attendees. Refaeli posed in a skin-tight black dress before taking her seat in Lincoln Center to see her fellow supermodels in action.

Radiant in a geometric print neon Marchesa gown, Gossip Girl's Blake Lively sat front row between Anna Wintour and tennis star Roger Federer on Tuesday night to take in Fashion's Night Out, which also will be a plot point on her show's upcoming season. According to the New York Post, Vogue editors Hamish Bowles and Lauren Santo Domingo have filmed cameos. The 23-year-old actress stood tall in Christian Louboutin heels, as did one of her fellow co-stars.
