Dr. Ana Maria Gonzalez-Angulo, 43, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for poisoning her colleague Dr. George Blumenschein, who was also her lover. Prosecutors dubbed the crime a "fatal attraction" because Gonzalez-Angulo poisoned her fellow cancer researcher with antifreeze after he chose his longtime girlfriend over her. She was convicted of aggravated assault last Friday. Prosecutors had asked for 30 years, as they argued that she stole years from Blumenschein's life. His life span has been shorted as he only has 40 percent of his kidney function now.
