Joey Meek Jr., who housed Dylann Roof in the days before he opened fire inside a black Charleston church, was arrested by the FBI on Thursday afternoon. He was informed on August 6 that he was the "potential target" of a criminal investigation involving the shootings. The letter notifying him of this said he is under investigation for potential misprision, or deliberate concealment of knowledge of a treasonable act from law enforcement authorities. This was further substantiated by a recent Washington Post article in which he said he thought Roof would do something drastic before the shooting happened.
