The FBI has found no evidence that a U.S. Border Patrol agent, Rogelio Martinez, was killed as a result of a “scuffle, altercation, or attack.” As The Daily Beast reported at the time, President Donald Trump used the agent’s Nov. 18 death to renew his calls for a wall on the southern border. “Border Patrol Officer killed at Southern Border, another badly hurt. We will seek out and bring to justice those responsible. We will, and must, build the Wall!” Trump tweeted at the time. An autopsy released earlier this week showed that Martinez’s manner of death was “undetermined,” adding he suffered “blunt force trauma.”
