Murders could be connected to cases in other states.
The FBI will be working with local Long Island authorities in the case of a suspected serial killer, authorities said Wednesday. Four bodies were found on a beach about 40 miles outside New York City this week, including one believed to be a woman who was soliciting sex on Craigslist. Police say they believe one person killed the victims and dumped them along a quarter-mile stretch of beach, and authorities think the suspected serial killer may have murdered women in other states. New Jersey prosecutors confirmed they are working with Long Island authorities to see if the crimes are related.
