The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee was the target of a recent hack, multiple FBI sources tell Reuters. The DCCC, which raises money for Democratic congressional candidates, was hacked as recently as June in a possible attempt to gain information about donors, these FBI sources say. Some aspects of the DCCC attack, like an IP address of an intermediary website used in the hack, share characteristics of the breach on the Democratic National Committee. The FBI has stated that it is not ready to attribute the DNC hack to the Russian government.
