Federal Financial Aid Application Is Open—but Super Glitchy

The feds have finally launched a new, simplified application for financial aid for college applicants—but the site is so glitchy that one expert says he is convinced “that nobody has been able to submit the form.” Students and their parents have been anxiously awaiting the opening of the application, which is required by many universities. The U.S. Department of Education told CNBC: “Leading up to and as part of the soft launch, we have identified some minor issues. We are aware of these issues and are working to resolve them.”
