After almost a decade, federal prosecutors dropped their criminal case against alleged steroids user Barry Bonds on Tuesday. Bonds was found guilty of obstruction of justice in 2011 for giving a rambling answer to a federal grand jury in 2003 about whether or not his personal trainer gave him drugs for self-injection. That conviction was overturned in April by an 11-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. In a one-paragraph motion on Wednesday, the Department of Justice said it would not ask the U.S. Supreme Court to review that decision.
