Federal prosecutors claim that accused drug kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman had sex with girls as young as 13, according to court documents unsealed late Friday. “The defendant called the youngest of the girls his ‘vitamins’ because he believed that sexual activity with young girls gave him ‘life,’” feds wrote. The accusations come from the testimony of Alex Cifuentes, Guzman’s former secretary, who also claimed that he and Guzman drugged the girls before assaulting them. The filings also accused Guzman of raping his former mistress. “Joaquin denies the allegations, which lack any corroboration and were deemed too prejudicial and unreliable to be admitted at trial,” his lawyers told the New York Post. On Monday, a Brooklyn jury will begin deliberating a 17-count indictment against him. If convicted, El Chapo could face up to life in prison.
