Federal officials are investigating an incident involving a Department of Homeland Security employee who was possibly plotting an attack at the agency's headquarters in Washington, D.C. According to court documents, Jonathan Wienke, a West Virginia resident, was found with a gun at DHS headquarters two weeks ago. Wienke was allegedly close to where a meeting of high-ranking officials was being held in the building—a gathering he knew about. Per the court filing, officials had "probably cause to believe Jonathan Wienke was conspiring with another to commit workplace violence, and more particularly may have been conspiring or planning to commit violence against the senior DHS officials in the building."
