The Manhattan outpatient clinic where Joan Rivers went into cardiac arrest is set to lose its federal accreditation at the end of this month. Yorkville Endoscopy “no longer meets the Conditions for Coverage (CFC) for a supplier of Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) services,” says the federal Centers for Medicare Services (CMS). The clinic will no longer be eligible for federal funds. Rivers died in September after undergoing a procedure at the clinic to remedy her acid reflux.
