Forget Daft Punk. This is Craft Punk—Fendi’s “Salone del Mobile” in Milan. It’s a mobile concept space where 13 industrial designers from all over the world will congregate for a week and do, well, anything they want. They’ll be given industrial materials and cast-offs from Fendi’s factory, in an effort to bring exposure to young industrial designers. The fashion house is shipping in tons of leather, fabrics, and metal hardware in an effort to inspire the residents. “Craft Punk” is collaborating with cutting-edge organization Design Miami, and aims to later tour the project throughout the United States and Japan. Too bad they’re not filming—we’d definitely watch Project Runway : Craft Punk Edition.
