An estimated 3 billion people worldwide tuned into the royal wedding, but there was one person not watching: the groom’s ex-aunt, Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York. “I was not invited, and I chose to go and be in a place called Camelia and … the jungle embraced me,” Ferguson told Oprah Winfrey. Ferguson, also known as Fergie, will be Oprah’s guest on Wednesday’s pretaped show. Ferguson said the snub was “so difficult,” especially as her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, and her daughters, Eugenie and Beatrice, went to the wedding—and because Ferguson and Andrew’s own 1986 nuptials took place at the abbey. Ferguson, who will have a show on Oprah’s new network OWN, said that despite the snub, she does not feel “ostracized” by the royal family.
