Darren Seals, a 29-year-old factory line worker, musician, and Ferguson civil-rights activist, died early Tuesday from a gunshot wound before his car was set on fire in nearby Riverview, Missouri. Police are investigating his death as a homicide. Seals was extremely vocal in protests that followed the August 2014 shooting death of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown by a white police officer. Activists mourned Seals’ death across social media on Tuesday.
