Ferguson city attorney Stephanie Karr announced Monday that she will resign after becoming the target of protests in recent months. She said that the "decision is mine alone," leaving a post in which she served since 2004. Karr faced demonstrations outside of her home while guiding the way in the which the city responded to the shooting death of teenager Michael Brown. The Department of Justice previously called out Karr for using "retaliatory conduct" against lawyers who challenged the city.
