Most recalled vehicles were purchased in North America.
Fiat Chrysler is recalling 1.1 million vehicles worldwide, citing a confusing gear-shift that caused cars to roll away after drivers had exited. Some 41 drivers have reported injuries, after they were accidentally hit by their own incorrectly parked cars. Approximately 850,000 vehicles in North America will be affected by the recall, including Dodge Chargers and Chrysler 300 sedans from 2012 to 2014, and 2014/15 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs.
