FIFA Snubs Tim Howard

Tim Howard, the American goalkeeper who made history by blocking 16 shots in America’s World Cup match against Belgium, is somehow not among the three finalists for FIFA’s Golden Glove award. Instead, the three finalists are from teams that advanced to at least the quarterfinals: Keylor Navas of Costa Rica, Manuel Neuer of Germany, and Sergio Romero of Argentina. Mexico’s Guillermo Ochoa, who has been recognized (by everyone except FIFA, apparently) for an outstanding individual performance in the tournament, was also snubbed.
