Final 'Potter' Book Almost Movie Trilogy

Just think: we could have had even more Harry Potter. Producer David Heyman said Sunday that at one point it was suggested to make the final Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, into a movie trilogy. He said screenwriter Steve Kloves had called him to say there was enough in the final Potter book for three films, but Heyman turned down the idea, opting for a two-parter instead. Muggles flocked to the opening of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 this weekend, spending $80 million on Friday alone and helping the movie beat the previous single-day record set by Twilight: New Moon. The final Harry Potter film could even break 2008’s The Dark Knight $158.4 million for the highest opening weekend ever.
