A Minnesota volunteer firefighter has been suspended after he flew a Confederate flag from his fire truck during a parade over the Independence Day weekend. Brian Nielsen quickly apologized for the incident, adding that he is not a racist and will resign if asked. “I will out of respect for them, yes I will,” he said. “I’m sorry I hurt my city and hurt the fire department.” A Minnesota CBS affiliate reports that Nielsen said he believes political correctness is changing American history.
