Firefighters in Azerbaijan are reportedly working to put out a massive blaze at the unfinished Trump Tower in Baku. A fire broke out on the middle floors of the 33-floor complex and was said to be spreading throughout the building, according to Azeri newspaper Azadliq. There were no immediate reports of injuries in the fire, which comes less than a month after a man was killed in a fire at Trump Tower in New York. Unlike that Trump Tower, the Baku property has not yet opened. The Trump Organization signed on to the project in 2012 but pulled out in 2016 amid scrutiny of Trump’s dealings with the Azeri developers behind the project, who have repeatedly been accused of corruption. The Trump Organization was reportedly actively involved in the project’s development, with Ivanka Trump said to have visited the site to oversee construction work and ensure the designs met Trump standards.
