For the first time, America has taken the gold in ice dancing. Meryl Davis and Charlie White earned 195.52 points with their nearly flawless dance to Scheherazade by Russian composer Rimski-Korsakov at the Sochi Winter Olympics. They finally bested their biggest rivals, 2010 Olympic champions Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir of Canada, who, like Davis and White, are coached by Marina Zoueva. They took the silver. Russia took the bronze.
