The Screen Actors Guild held its annual award ceremony Sunday, showering even more praise on Oscar frontrunners Colin Firth (The King’s Speech), Natalie Portman (Black Swan), and The Fighter’s Christian Bale and Melissa Leo—each of whom also took home this year’s Golden Globe in their respective categories. In the television honors, Betty White continued her career comeback with a win for TV Land’s Hot in Cleveland, toppling competitors Tina Fey and Jane Lynch, among others. White called her win “the biggest surprise I’ve ever had in this business.” The acting ensembles behind The King’s Speech and HBO series Boardwalk Empire walked away with the night’s biggest awards.
