Eight people died in an Arkansas storm on Tuesday—two from what appears to be a tornado, and three in flooding. The tornado touched down in the town of Vilonia, which one resident says is “gone.” Elsewhere in Arkansas, three people died when floodwaters swept their vehicles off the road. Relentless rain storms in the central U.S. are now threatening to burst levees in southern Missouri, where more than 1,000 homes have been evacuated along the Black River.
