Five people were shot in downtown Seattle on Wednesday night as an anti-Trump rally was underway. Two of the victims had life-threatening injuries and all five wounded were rushed to a hospital, authorities told local media. Two of the victims were in critical condition. Others were shot in the legs, chest, and neck. Police said the shooting happened at about 7 p.m. in an area near where the protest was going on, but it was not believed to be connected to the rally. Some people were arguing nearby when the gunman began walking away, turned around, then fired into the crowd. Still, at least one of the victims was likely a bystander. One witness said, “I saw multiple people down, bleeding.” The suspect is still at large and the investigation ongoing.
