Florida Gov. Rick Scott declared a state of emergency in four counties where the Zika virus has spread. Authorities say they believe the nine infected people all contracted the disease outside the U.S. The declaration covers Miami-Dade, Lee, Hillsborough, and Santa Rosa counties. Officials are concerned that Aedes aegypti, the mosquito and primary vector of the virus, is present across the Southeast. A case of sexually transmitted Zika was discovered in Dallas on Tuesday.
