A Florida-based naval flight officer was arrested last month for allegedly fondling a girl’s genitals, Navy Times reports. Cmdr. Dustin D. Chapin, 48, was arrested Dec. 20 at Naval Air Station Jacksonville and charged with lewd/lascivious molestation of a victim who was less than 12 years old, records show. Chapin’s alleged offense occurred in May and was reported by the girl’s mother, according to his arrest warrant. Chapin is stationed at the station with Patrol Reconnaissance Wing 11, according to police and Navy records. He is being held without bond, and his next court date is Jan. 23.
