A Florida woman is being held on charges she murdered her 3-year-old son, who was reported missing in 1986. Amy Fleming told police at the time that her son, Francillon Pierre, vanished at a North Las Vegas swap meet and that she believed his father, a Haitian national, had abducted him and taken him out of the country. But police cleared the child’s father and suspected that Fleming and her second husband—who were awaiting trial on child abuse charges—had a hand in the boy’s disappearance, according to WPBF. It’s not clear what prompted investigators to arrest Fleming on Jan. 29, but they plan to release more details at a press conference on Monday.
