A former University of Oklahoma teaching assistant says that David Boren “touched and kissed” him inappropriately when the former senator and governor was the university president, according to the Associated Press. The allegations made by Jess Eddy, 29, are part of a larger investigation by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation into whether Boren has a history of sexually harassing male subordinates. “My initial instinct was to do what Boren wanted,” Eddy said in the complaint read by the Associated Press. “I was under extreme duress.” Boren, 77, has denied the allegations. He was the Democratic governor of Oklahoma in the 1970s before serving more than 15 years in the U.S. Senate. He has been married to his second wife for more than 40 years.
