Graham Spanier was the one who almost got away. The former Penn State president was charged with perjury and obstruction of justice Thursday in connection with the Jerry Sandusky child-sex-abuse scandal. Spanier was forced to step down after Sandusky’s arrest last November but denied any knowledge of widespread child molestation (he didn’t think twice about Sandusky “horsing around” with young boys). Prosecutors also added counts against Tim Curley and Gary Schultz, two other school officials who had been charged with lying to the grand jury that investigated the Sandusky case and are set to go on trial in January.
