Authorities in Pennsylvania are investigating the murder of a former Playboy model who was found strangled to death in her suburban Philadelphia apartment. Christina Carlin-Kraft, 36, was found dead on Wednesday night when police arrived at her apartment for a welfare check, according to ABC Action News. An autopsy confirmed that Kraft had been strangled. The former model had reportedly contacted police just days before her murder over several items she said were stolen from her home. It wasn’t immediately clear whether that case was connected to her death. Kraft, who credited herself with a “tasteful photo shoot for Playboy that was beyond Hollywood glamour” on her booking page, had a brief run-in with New York City law enforcement back in March 2016, when she allegedly assaulted a waiter in a dispute over a bill. She was initially charged with misdemeanor assault over the incident, but the charges were dropped.
