Michael Cohen went on a foul-mouthed rant about being overlooked by Donald Trump for a White House role, according to the former attorney of Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal. Speaking to ABC News, Keith Davidson shed light on the discussions he held with Cohen ahead of the 2016 election when negotiating hush-money deals to keep the two women quiet about alleged affairs with Trump. He claimed the motivation for the deals was clearly political, saying: “It defeats the argument that this was done purely for personal reasons... It was done for political reasons. The natural conclusion is that after the Access Hollywood tape, that something like this could be the straw that broke the camel’s back.” Davidson said he didn’t know if Trump knew about the negotiations. However, he said Cohen was clearly angry at Trump during their discussions. “[Cohen] confided in me that he was just beside himself, and, in his words, you know, he said, ‘Can you fucking believe, after everything I’ve done, he’s not taking me to Washington?’” Davidson recalled. “He felt that it was a personal embarrassment for him, that he was rejected.”
