Former X-Factor Contestant Found Dead

Former X-Factor contestant Simone Battle, 25, was found dead in her West Hollywood home on Friday, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office. Battle, a Los Angeles native and USC graduate, was a member of the group G.R.L. (She is pictured above in the center with her bandmates). “We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the loss of Simone Battle of G.R.L.,” Reign Deer Entertainment, Robin A tin, Kemosabe Records, and RCA Records said in a statement. “Simone was an exceptional young talent and human being, and we are all devastated to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones at this time.” The L.A. Coroner's Office has not released a cause of death yet.
