The Commerce Department announced Friday that the GDP for the U.S. economy was revised to 2.2 percent for 2014’s fourth quarter, down from the previously reported 2.6 percent. That growth was still above most economists’ forecasts, and consumer spending rose the most in four years. The drop was attributed to smaller gains in stockpiles and an increasing trade gap.
