The newest Parisian house of art, the Fondation Louis Vuitton, opens Monday, and is practicing what it preaches, so to speak. The Fondation is housed in a building designed by architect Frank Gehry. In true Gehry fashion, the building is a dynamic structure that uses the interplay of glass and light to its advantage. "Glass is not functional for any art, but to take advantage of that circumstance and turn it into a living space: that can change the building," Gehry tells The Daily Beast, explaining that this ability to change means "it’ll take time to understand the building, and understand the possibilities of it."
