Michael Deng’s fraternity hazing death was a homicide, a coroner ruled Friday. But that doesn’t mean the Pi Delta Psi fraternity brothers who tackled the blindfolded 19-year-old pledge on the frozen Poconos ground in December, causing the severe head trauma that killed him, will be hit with any criminal charges just yet. Previous reports had suggested that as many as 12 of the 30 fraternity brothers who were staying at the Pocono Mountains rental house when Deng, a freshman at Baruch College, died, could be charged with his death. But the county district attorney said Friday that “the decision is not imminent.”
