French far-right leader Marine Le Pen has been ordered by a court to undergo psychiatric testing after she posted graphic pictures of ISIS crimes on social media. According to The Guardian, the Leader of the Rassemblement National (National Rally) party tweeted the graphic photos—including one that showed the killing of American journalist James Foley—in response to a French journalist who drew parallels between her party and ISIS. Le Pen took the photos down at the request of Foley’s family, and claimed she did not know the identity of the man being killed. Le Pen, who’s immunity as a lawmaker has been lifted, now faces charges for allegedly posting photos that “incite terrorism... or seriously harm human dignity.” She could face up to three years in prison or a fine of over $88,000 if convicted. “I thought I had been through it all: well, no! For having condemned Daesh (IS) horrors in tweets, the ‘justice system’ is putting me through psychiatric tests! Just how far will they go?” Le Pen wrote on Twitter. She also told BFM TV that totalitarian regimes use this method to make opponents “look like they’re crazy.” “I’d like to see how the judge would try and force me do it,” she said.
