A patch with a German slogan, meaning "My honor is loyalty," has created an uproar after being photographed on the uniform of an elite French Army parachutist serving in the Central African Republic. The insignia was used by Nazi Waffen-SS soldiers and is now illegal in Germany and Austria. The badge was first spotted after a picture of it was posted to the military's Facebook page (it has since been taken down). An investigation has been opened and an army spokesman says the soldier will be suspended once he is identified.
