The badly decomposed body found in a South Korean field last month was the fugitive owner of a ferry that sank and killed more than 300 people in April, officials say. Yoo Byung Eun, a billionaire businessman and cult founder, was sought by police for embezzling millions from the company, which in turn overloaded ships and cut corners on safety. His body underwent forensic testing and matched with his brother’s DNA. Prosecutors are trying Yoo’s brother, his wife, and his brother-in-law in connection with the theft of $29 million. More than 330 people are under investigation for roles in the sinking.
