‘Full Frontal with Samantha Bee’ Renewed for 2017 Season
NOW MORE THAN EVER
TBS announced Wednesday that it is renewing Full Frontal with Samantha Bee for a second year as well as moving the weekly late-night show to a new timeslot of 10:30 p.m. ET on Wednesdays, starting January 11. Samantha Bee aired her final show of 2016 this past Monday, during which she called out white women for failing to elect Hillary Clinton and declared, "We still have millions of nasty women who aren’t going way and as long as women over 25 are allowed on television, I’ll be here cheering them on."
"I am only sorry that this renewal leaves me unavailable for a cabinet position in the new administration," Bee joked in a press release that accompanied the announcement. "I will, however, be available to host the White House Correspondents Dinner, seeing as I already bought the dress." While that specific appointment seemed almost inevitable under a Clinton administration, it has now become something of a long shot. TBS reported that Full Frontal currently averages 3.3 million viewers across multiple platforms and "ranks as one of television's Top 3 late-night series with adults 18-49 for the quarter-to-date."
