Husband says she’s anxious to go back to Congress.
Newscom
In the first clear signal that the wounded congresswoman may make a return to politics, Gabrielle Giffords’ husband, Mark Kelly, tells Katie Couric in an upcoming interview that Giffords is itching to get back to work. Giffords is still recovering following her gunshot wound to the head in January. Kelly said, “One thing she frequently comes back to is, you know, going back to work…She wants to get back to Tucson. She wants to get back to her district. She wants to get back to Washington.” Giffords is scheduled to attend the launch of her husband’s space shuttle mission on April 29.
